Silver success for Motofix

Motofix Group collected the Silver Award at the NBRA’s Greener Bodyshop Awards, held at the National Sea Life Centre in Birmingham.

The group achieved significantly reduced emissions across its eight bodyshop sites through various initiatives including SWR waste management resulting in a 99% reduction in waste to landfill, switching to Devilbiss sprayguns and Unic gun wash machines, reducing volatile organic compounds by 75% and using Minden dust extraction and IDES LED lighting to achieve substantial energy reduction.

Chris Weeks, director of the NBRA, said: “The NBRA was pleased to award Motofix Group the Silver Award for their eco-friendly processes and using products which increase energy efficiency while reducing waste. They have clearly demonstrated their active engagement with environmental sustainability and we look forward to continue working with them and raising the bar.”

Sue Cripps, compliance and standards manager for Motofix, said: “We are thrilled to be recognised with this award for the investment we have made in greener equipment and the changes made to be more environmentally friendly. It was great to be part of and support the first ever Greener Bodyshop Awards, we are excited to continue our efforts to reduce carbon emissions across our business.”
