Royal approval for Morelli director

Morelli director Mark Moring has attended Buckingham Palace to mark the 40th anniversary of charity DEBRA, which supports families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa. Mark has raised more than £200,000 for DEBRA in the last seven years.

Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) is a genetic skin condition that can cause blistering or tearing from the slightest touch, for which there is no cure yet and can prove fatal. Since 2011, through the support of the annual boxing Fight Night promoted by Frank Warren and other events, Mark has raised in excess of £200,000 with the support of generous contributions from Morelli customers.

Mark initially brought the cause to the attention of the Morelli board when he joined Lawrence Dallaglio on his London to Paris Charity bike ride and has since joined the DEBRA fundraising committee.

In November 2018 Mark sold 17 tables of 10 to Morelli customers and suppliers for Frank Warren’s Fight Night. This annual boxing event is the main DEBRA fundraiser each year. As recognition for Morelli’s contribution and also the charity reaching its 40th year, Mark was extended an invitation to attend a dinner with his wife Sarah at Buckingham Palace in the presence of the DEBRA Patron, HRH The Countess of Wessex.

This year’s DEBRA Army v Navy Fight Night event is on 22 November in London. For details call Mark on 07768 951663.

With such a strong industry presence, the event has been heralded as a fantastic networking evening with essential proceeds going directly to DEBRA to help fight EB and hopefully find a cure.
