Robots to deliver EV charging
Drivers of electric cars won’t need to take their cars to chargers in the future – instead robots will bring a charger to them and charge the car without any human involvement.
Volkswagen claims it is developing ‘mobile charging robots’, which will autonomously drive themselves to a car’s location, plug in, and then return to the charger to a central location when complete.
The robots are aimed at providing charging solutions in multi-storey and underground car parks.
