UK minor car repair specialist ChipsAway has announced that its specialists now have full access to every bit of ADAS data within its customers vehicles.

From now on its specially-trained technicians will know whether a customer’s vehicle has any form of ADAS fitted, exactly where it is located, and most importantly, whether the car will require any form of safety-critical recalibration following a repair.

This comes after a major overhaul of its CRM infrastructure.

ChipsAway managing director Tim Harris said, ‘As brand leaders, we know how important it is to stay ahead of the game in terms of technological advances. Our market-leading software agreement ensures that not only do our specialists have the vital ADAS information at their fingertips, but even more importantly, they can then provide the customer with an introduction to a complete recalibration service, following any repair work.’

It made decision earlier this year to ensure only specialists who are fully trained will be able to carry out work on EV and Hybrid vehicles.

Tim added, ‘Our ongoing investment in Electric Vehicle (EV) and Hybrid training, along with our commitment to providing full ADAS recalibration requirements to our specialists and customers, means we are leading the way for the SMART repair sector, ensuring that safety is at the forefront of everything we do.’
