Kick off for Plunky’s All Stars
Volvo Body and Paint’s fundraising football match is set to kick off on 28 May at Peterborough United’s London Road.
Organised by Volvo’s Steve Plunkett, this charity match will pit his Plunky’s All Stars CF against the Mercenaries FC in a friendly game to raise money to support Joe Yorke. Joe is three years old and suffers from Wolf-Hirschorn Syndrome, a debilitating genetic disorder.
To assist him, the match intends to raise cash to provide him with a specially adapted chair and bed, and is open to anyone who wants to play at Peterborough’s London Road ground.
Kick-off is at 6.45pm, with access to the ground from 6pm. The bar area will be open after the match for two hours for drinks, auction and a raffle. Full kit will be supplied, players just need to bring boots and shin pads, which must be worn. The match fee is £75 for 90 minutes and £40 for those wanting to play for 45 minutes.
