JLR poised to announce huge UK investment
Jaguar Land Rover is expected this week to announce investment worth hundreds of millions of pounds in its Castle Bromwich factory in the West Midlands.
It’s been reported the company will commit to developing a range of new electric models at the plant, which will be a massive uplift for a workforce which recently voted for four-day weeks.
JLR is expected to update the plant during during a six-week shutdown to prepare manufacturing lines for the production of an all-electric version of its flagship XJ saloon. This will be the first of three new vehicles to roll off the ramps and will be followed by a sports utility vehicle.
