FTA reveals conference programme

The FTA has announced the speaker programme for its 2020 Future Logistics conference.

Headlined by keynote speaker, astronaut Tim Peake, the conference’s four content streams will examine the issues set to challenge the logistics industry of the future under the headings of Future Business Strategies, Future Communities, Future Data and Future Vehicles.

Elizabeth de Jong, UK policy director at FTA, said: “While the need to deliver for customers will never diminish, the UK’s logistics industry is changing faster than many of us appreciate. With so many exterior factors changing the world around us, the conference will provide a comprehensive opportunity for those involved in or with the sector to discover and debate the influences which will shape the logistics world of tomorrow. With a packed programme of expert speakers, Future Logistics 2020 promises to be an unmissable event.”

Alongside Tim Peake, the speaker line-up already assembled for the 2020 Future Logistics event contains many of the leading names in transport and logistics, with representatives of many of the UK’s leading organisations including Centrica, KPMG, Low CVP, Oxford Robotics, TfL and UPS.

De Jong added: “Logistics and transport are at the heart of everything we all do, both at work and at play, and it is vital that our industry thrives if UK PLC is to succeed. I am confident that conversations taking place at Future Logistics 2020 will help to set the agenda for the future of our sector and ensure that the UK’s logistics industry is ready for any challenges which the 21st century and beyond will pose.”

The conference will be held alongside the first ever ITT Hub event, to be held at Farnborough International Conference Centre on 13 and 14 May 2020.
