Ford follows McLaren approval

Fix Auto Stevenage has received manufacturer approval status for Ford UK.

The news comes just four months after the Hertfordshire repairer became the first Fix Auto UK franchisee to receive approval status from the supercar manufacturer McLaren Automotive.

This achievement was made possible through Fix Auto Stevenage’s close working relationship with Gates Group, one of Ford’s main dealers throughout the region and adds to the repairer’s list of vehicle manufacturer approvals that also includes Aston Martin, Jaguar Land Rover and Kia.

Terry Gilbert, owner of Fix Auto Stevenage and chair of the Fix Auto UK’s National Leadership Team said, ‘Once again I am delighted to be part of another vehicle manufacturers’ official vehicle repair programme. It’s the result of a lot of hard work, investment and reflects the efforts of all involved from within Fix Auto Stevenage.

Local Ford main dealers, Gates FordStore and Transit Centre Stevenage, are a family-owned and operated Ford main dealer group that has been established in the region since 1920. The team were particularly pleased to hear of Fix Auto Stevenage’s appointment as an authorised Ford Accident Repair Centre.

Joint managing directors John Belton and Darren Cooper said, ‘Although we have always recognised Fix Auto Stevenage as our go-to and preferred accident repair centre in the area, by obtaining the official approval status, we may now direct all of our local vehicle bodywork requirement to Terry and his professional team.’
