Expansion plans to create further jobs

TrustFord has opened a Quick Lane site in Prestwich and a new PartsPlus Centre in Preston, with more expansion into the North West planned.

The two sites represent a significant investment in the North West and expand its network to service customers across the region. Further openings over the coming months are also planned in Stockport, Ashton Under Lyne, Sale and Gorton.

The new Preston site represents an investment of £800,000, creating 8,500 sqft of space. It brings significant employment opportunities to the local area, with the creation of jobs ranging from mechanics to reception staff.

The new £1m Quick Lane site in Prestwich has been created following the redevelopment of a vacant independent garage and car dealership on Bury New Road. The new facility is more than 5,000 sqft in size and will bring five new jobs to the local area.

Four further new Quick Lane sites will be opened in the Manchester area before July 2020, bringing further investment and employment opportunities. They add to TrustFord’s wider commitment to the region, recently strengthened with the announcement of a partnership with The Prince’s Trust to offer fifteen 18–30 year olds the chance to undertake free training and become Technicians at the new sites.

Stuart Foulds, chairman and chief executive officer of TrustFord, said, ‘I‘m very proud to see these two new sites open – this investment demonstrates our commitment to supporting the local economy of the North West. At TrustFord, we’re committed to driving the standard in customer care, and these new facilities will help our colleagues deliver the excellence and convenience of service they’re known for to a whole new set of customers.’
