Europcar Mobility Group delivers at Christmas

Employees from all of Europcar Mobility Group UK’s operations have done their bit to bring some Christmas joy to disadvantaged children.

Hundreds of toys and games have been donated by the company’s employees to the KidsOut ‘Giving Tree’ Christmas campaign. The toys were taken to the KidsOut Luton depot earlier this week so that they could be wrapped up ready for distribution to disadvantaged children currently living in refuge homes around the UK.

Gordon Moulds, CEO of KidsOut, said: “Each year more than 20,000 children flee domestic abuse to seek sanctuary – often having to leave quickly, taking no possessions with them. Without our ‘Giving Tree’ campaign these children may not otherwise receive a gift at Christmas. We are therefore delighted that Europcar Mobility Group UK and its employees have chosen to support us at what can be an especially difficult time of year for children.”

Kevin Rand, operations director, Europcar Mobility Group UK added: “As part of our active social responsibility programme, employees have chosen to support KidsOut through a number of initiatives over the next year. The ‘Giving Tree’ campaign is the first of these. It’s been amazing to see the toys coming in at our locations around the country and a great pleasure to ensure the toys all got to the KidsOut’s depot.”

Anyone in the company who wanted to join in collected a gift tag from a ‘Giving Tree’ at their workplace. Each tag had the name of a child and the gift they would like to receive written on it.
