ACIS puts a gloss on Mazda bodyshop strategy

Mazda UK has signed a new contract with ACIS as part of a shared auto paint distribution deal to its 106 approved bodyshops in the UK.

The iconic Japanese brand has appointed the UK’s leading distributor to the accident repair sector as part of an agreement which guarantees delivery of Akzo Nobel and BASF paint products and dry consumables into the approved repairer network.

David Elphick, parts and accessories sales manager for the Mazda network, said, ‘We have appointed two preferred distribution partners to help support the approved paint partners and the approved repairer network. The selection of these companies to provide goods and services is key to the business development of our approved network.’

Referring to ACIS’s ASCRIBE, its web-based stock replenishment tool, David added, ‘Some of the benefits to the network are already being experienced and include stock management, technical support and paint and materials profitability analysis.

‘I am sure that our preferred paint partners and distributor network will help provide a programme of support and development for the approved repairer network.’

Damon Curtis, business development director for ACIS, said, ‘Mazda is a well-established leading brand that wants to drive greater efficiency and more ‘zoom zoom’ through its approved repairer network. We are very much looking forward to helping the business optimise its repair network as this will help drive greater customer satisfaction.’

Graham O’Neill, CEO of ACIS added, ‘Mazda is not alone in wanting to augment its supply chain arrangements to deliver value and greater customer engagement. Unlocking this experience and helping to get vehicles back on the road faster is what helps to differentiate ACIS from other suppliers.’
