RHCV has duo promotion
RH Commercial Vehicles (RHCV), has promoted two of its longest-serving employees into brand new roles as group managers.
James Daykin and Steve Astill, who both joined the RHCV team in 2006, previously headed up the Nottingham and Leicester RHCV dealerships, but following a significant period of growth for the company, Steve was promoted to group aftermarket manager and James to group parts manager.
Steve first started as a parts advisor in Nottingham but transferred when the dealer opened in Leicester in 2010. After moving back to Nottingham in 2015, Steve increased the revenue of the site significantly, while managing to reduce costs as Nottingham’s dealer point manager.
James also began working at RHCV’s Nottingham site as a parts apprentice, before he was promoted to dealer point manager for the Leicester site in 2015. It was during this time, that James managed the site and team though a tremendous period of growth.
In their new roles, both James and Steve will oversee the aftermarket department across all of RHCV’s sites. The duo will work closely with the dealer point managers at all four sites, supporting customer and supplier relationships, while enabling growth and expansion plans.
Nigel Baxter, manging director at RHCV added, ‘James and Steve have worked for 12 years each at RHCV and their experience and dedication to the role will ensure that we continue to drive sales and meet customer demand efficiently.’
