MG stays at Birmingham Airport

MG Motor UK has announced that it has renewed its four-year relationship with Birmingham Airport.

The deal will see MG take place outside the airport until at least August 2021, after agreeing a three-year extension to the existing advertising partnership. The displays will be refreshed every quarter.

MG has long been associated with Birmingham, with its Longbridge site hosting to the marque’s Cecil Kimber College. Longbridge also continues to be one of MG’s main global design and engineering centres where over 250 staff work on new MG cars for the global market.

Commenting on the new deal, head of sales & marketing at MG, Daniel Gregorious, said, ‘We’re delighted to renew our relationship with Birmingham Airport…We’re proud to be part of the Birmingham area, and with the airport located just a short distance from Longbridge, it made even more sense to ensure that the iconic MG badge is one of the first things visitors see when arriving in the city.’

Richard Gill, Acting commercial director at Birmingham Airport, added, ‘We have had a successful relationship, via Perfect Fit Media, with MG over the past four years and it is great to have a local brand promoting on our site that is recognised across the world, with its rich heritage and customer-centric offering, as a partner. Birmingham Airport believes it is important to support local brands such as MG, which also value the needs of the customer first.’
