Fix Auto is GDPR ready
With the 25 May deadline for the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) fast approaching, Fix Auto UK’s Regional Operations Team have studied to become the network’s first ‘GDPR Champions’.
Guided by Fix Auto UK’s dedicated compliance department, the six-member team whose role it is to help, guide and support franchisees across the country, have successfully completed a programme of online training courses to ensure they are fully informed.
Lead by head of operations Michael McLaren, the team consisting of Brett Wootton, Gary Snook, Martin Willis, Simon Nash and Neil Reader have each completed the Employee, Foundation and Practitioner courses provided by the network’s Fix Auto Online Learning Platform. In doing so, the team have each gained Certificates in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in GDPR.
In addition, every team member working at Fix Auto UK’s head office in Leicester has also completed the employee level of the qualifications.
Michael said, ‘GDPR and the protection of personal data is arguably the most important subject in the industry currently. Fix Auto UK set its stall out some time ago to ensure we will be providing industry-leading training and guidance to our franchisees. The Regional Operations Team is leading by example, particularly as we are ahead of the game.’
