Cenex launches CAV Showcase
Cenex has announced details of its Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAV) Showcase, a key part of Cenex-LCV2018.
Sponsored by Meridian Mobility and supported by the Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CCAV), the Department for International Trade (DIT) and Innovate UK, the showcase is open to UK companies and consortia, providing the opportunity for them to demonstrate and promote their technology to the thousands of national and international visitors that Cenex-LCV2018 attracts.
The showcase enables organisations to test and validate their technology and is particularly aimed at research and development projects funded by CCAV and Innovate UK.
Expected to be the largest yet, the third annual CAV Showcase covers indoor and outdoor exhibition space, a chance for companies to present on its project and access to the steering pad and Meridian Mobility test centre for demonstrator vehicles.
Robert Evans, CEO of Cenex said, ‘The UK is establishing itself at the forefront of innovation when it comes to Connected and Autonomous Vehicles, which is expected to be a £907 billion market by 2035, and our CAV showcase provides the perfect platform for UK businesses to demonstrate their technology to the widest possible audience. We’re expecting great interest from the community, particularly those projects funded by CCAV and Innovate UK, and look forward to showing the strength of UK connected and autonomous vehicle ideas to the world.’
