Allianz and IVR training course
Allianz Partners’ new electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid training course, launched in partnership with the Institute of Vehicle Recovery (IVR), has been met with an overwhelming response from industry professionals.
The free courses were quickly oversubscribed, highlighting the demand for training in EV technology within the independent recovery market. The first training days were completed over six days, in six different locations around the UK, helping recovery operators meet a new standard in training and awareness on alternative fuel vehicles.
The Allianz Partners Network Team, supported by its technical training manager Mike Donley, provided the EV, hybrid and PHEV training, which was offered to all of its recovery operator agents on a first come first served basis. Numbers were restricted to 12 people per venue, with each operator invited to send one person.
Mark Debenham, UK network manager at Allianz Partners UK commented, ‘We’ve had an incredible response to these training days from independent recovery professionals who were hungry to gain invaluable insight into hybrid and EV technology. Attendees particularly appreciated the opportunity for some hands-on practical experience, with two hybrid vehicles available during the sessions; a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and a Volvo S90 Twin Engine Hybrid.’
