Nationwide targets new Cup record
Nationwide Accident Repair Services Ltd (NARS) will head to Brands Hatch in Kent this weekend, for the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Championship with victory in mind.
NARS has enjoyed a long association with the Porsche Carrera Cup and sponsors two of its most successful drivers, double champion Tim Harvey and reigning double champion Daniel Cammish.
Nationwide offers free tickets to employees and their partners to watch the racing action, an initiative that engaged over 3,000 ‘Nationwiders’, customers, their families and friends in 2016. At each of the UK races this season guests will be greeted at a revamped and renamed RaceHub – Nationwide’s centre.
‘We couldn’t have got off to a better start in 2007,’ said 2008 and 2010 champion Tim. ‘It was the first-year Nationwide sponsored me in the Carrera Cup and we scored two pole positions, two fastest laps and two wins. I really couldn’t have asked for more and I’m very happy that the success has continued, both with me behind the wheel and now with Dan. The success rate we have both enjoyed with Nationwide has been really impressive and after the way testing has gone so far this year I think it’s highly likely we’ll be adding to that tally.’
Michael Wilmshurst, the CEO at Nationwide said, ‘This is going to be the 8th year of our sponsorship and after our amazing success in the past I have no doubt Dan will make us all proud.’
