NARS statement on RSA acquisition
Nationwide Accident Repair Services’ acquisition of RSA’s six Quality Repair Centres (QRCs) has been labelled as a ‘strategically important acquisition’ by its CEO.
As well as expanding Nationwide’s coverage, the acquisition of the sites located in Glasgow, Stockport, Leeds, Luton, Birmingham and Bristol, will enable both businesses to match repair capacity more efficiently with demand.
Michael Wilmshurst, CEO of Nationwide, commented, ‘I am delighted to be announcing this strategically important acquisition and look forward to welcoming our new colleagues to the group, and further strengthen our relationship with RSA across the UK. The sector is approaching a watershed and we continue to develop our fully integrated repair solution that incorporates mobile, rapid, traditional and hi-tech repair solutions and utilising central triage and deployment from our three call centres.’
Bill Paton, UK and international claims director of RSA, commented, ‘We have a very long standing and successful relationship with Nationwide and in a sector that is clearly changing and requires a different approach it is logical to extend this partnership further, working increasingly closer as the market develops.’
The Acquisition of RSAAR brings the total number of Nationwide Accident Repair Centres to 125 across England, Scotland and Wales.
