Industry heads for London
Gemini’s Dave Sargeant and bodyshop’s Alan Feldberg will be amongst some 40,000 athletes to take on the Virgin Money London Marathon this Sunday (23 April).
Both runners have clocked up hundreds of miles since the turn of the year in preparation for this year’s 26.2 mile run through the streets of London – from Greenwich Park to The Mall.
Dave, who is raising money for Leukaemia Care, is running with number 42347. Meanwhile, Alan is number 2025 and is raising funds for WWF. The progress of both athletes can be tracked on the day via the London Marathon app.
Dave, whose fundraising page is https://2017-london-marathon.everydayhero.com/uk/david-sargeant, said, ‘The sponsorship support so far has been amazing. We have currently raised over £3,517 which is a great amount of money and very much appreciated. Thank you all so very much.’
Alan said, ‘It seems to have come around very quickly but I can’t wait to get going now. I’ve heard some amazing things about the day and will be doing my absolute best to soak up the atmosphere instead of just staring at the tarmac a yard in front of me! Thanks to everyone who has helped me get this far, and good luck to all the starters on Sunday.’
Alan’s Just Giving page can be found at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Alan-Feldberg.
bodyshop magazine would like to wish both runners, along with everyone taking part on the day, a truly fantastic occassion.
