Countdown is on for marathon
The Virgin Money London Marathon 2017 takes place on 23 April and individuals within the UK’s accident repair industry are gearing up for the big day.
David Sargeant, managing director of Gemini Accident Repair Centres Ltd is taking on this year’s challenge in support of Leukaemia CARE. Having clocked up some 350 miles since the start of January, Dave is now entering his ‘taper’ period safe in the knowledge he has raised over £2,500 for the charity so far.
‘I’m chuffed to say that with all your help in sponsoring me we have raised over £2,500 which is a great amount of money and very much appreciated, thank you all so very much,’ said Dave whose fundraising page – https://lnkd.in/dpvbnfq – is still very much open to donations.
Meanwhile, bodyshop magazine’s own deputy editor, Alan ‘Farah’ Feldberg is also taking part in this year’s event, raising money for the WWF UK. Aiming for a sub four hour effort Alan said, ‘Training has gone better than I could have hoped. Thank you for the support so far especially three fantastic women – Leeza, Molly and Scarlett. I’m all set for London now.’
