Careers event on starting grid
Alton Cars Ltd’s career guidance event, in conjunction with AutoRaise, will see a host of supercars on display including a Williams F1 racing car.
The event, hosted by Alton Cars Ltd at its Leeds Accident Repair Centre on Saturday 11 March 2017, will feature a line-up of supercars including a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, a Mercedes AMG GTS, an Aston Martin Vanquish and a Williams F1 racing car.
Co-produced with AutoRaise, the vehicle repair industry charity set up to address the industry’s chronic skills shortage, the event is targeted at students aged 15-18, either with an interest in working within the automotive sector or with a more general interest in apprenticeships.
With in-excess of 260 staff across its 10 sites covering Yorkshire, Humberside, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Alton Cars Ltd is seeking to award 20 apprenticeships to selected local students.
Julian Milner, group managing director of Alton Cars Ltd commented, ‘We are extremely proud to be hosting this event, as well as hopefully capturing some young talent for the future. We will be inviting our business partners, various industry stakeholders and other repairers to join us to help stimulate some interest for their own organisations to support AutoRaise in this exciting initiative.’
The event will take the form of three sessions with live demonstrations throughout the day.
