Auto/gaming crossover continues
The crossover between the automotive and gaming industries has been underlined by designers at the University of Northampton, who have developed a multi-player game which sees players race against time to repair cars.
Called Mechanic Panic and unveiled at games expos EGX17 and Play Expo Manchester, the game is still in development but a playable demo was a huge success at the conventions.
Mechanic Panic has been developed by Tom McLennan, Kieron McNamee and Joseph Higgins.
Speaking to the Nothamptonshire Telegraph, tom said, ‘The response from people playing the game at the expos has been incredible. We’ve had people should and almost fighting as they scramble to get the right parts to fix the car.’
