Stage set for Repair Focus
The Thatcham Repair Focus takes place tomorrow (Tuesday 14 June) and the stage is set for another fascinating event.
During the afternoon, visitors will have the opportunity to join one of two panel sessions taking place to discuss the impact of vehicle technology on modern day bodyshops and how to ‘gear up’ for the future.
Thatcham’s ‘Bodyshop of the Future’ panel discussion will be chaired by Simon Smith, operations director at Solus Accident Repair Centre and will feature Andy McDonald from Tesla, NARG’s Malcolm Banner and Tony Young from ITAS. The session will aim to establish what bodyshop businesses need to do in order to survive and thrive in the future.
Meanwhile, a ‘Skills of the Future’ panel discussion chaired by Tom Hudd, technical services manager, UKAARC will ask what bodyshops need to do to ensure access to the right skills and how training organisations, like Thatcham Research, can support the process.
Spaces on these panel sessions is limited and will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis. If you are interested in attending, click here or to find out more visit www.thatcham.org
