More investment within Fix network

Fix Auto Maidstone is the latest Fix Auto franchisee to reveal a significant investment programme, enabling the business to treble its express repair workshop capacity and double its workforce.

Business owner Robert Dearnaley has invested more than £500,000 to meet growing demand by relocating to a 5,000sqft unit equipped with express repair equipment including an STL Tempo moveable spraybooth coupled with a skate-and-rail system to maximise workshop efficiency.

The new bodyshop is less than a mile from the company’s original site and will support Robert’s larger ‘main hub’, Fix Auto Rochester facility. A team of 10 will support the new centre including two apprentices and administration staff.

Robert explained, ‘Our original Maidstone site had been running at over capacity for some time. It became clear that we needed to relocate the entire operation if we are to maintain and continue to improve on the high level of service we pride ourselves in delivering.

He continued, ‘We found the new site in Old Mill Lane last November which was empty providing us with a blank canvas to work with. A lot of time and effort has been invested to ensure that the new centre will be another jewel in the Fix Auto network’s crown.’

Ian Pugh, of Fix Auto UK, said, ‘The inward investment by our franchisees is happening at such a frenetic pace and is really exciting. Once again, we have a franchisee who is investing heavily to provide much needed extra capacity in a strategic location to ensure Fix Auto is able to deliver on the needs of our clients, and this has to be congratulated.’
