Millbrook set for Cenex show

Millbrook will once again become the central hub and meeting point for the low carbon technology industry, as it hosts the ninth annual Cenex Low Carbon Vehicle (LCV) event this week.

Taking place on 14-15 September, up to 3,000 industry professionals are expected to attend, with exhibitors set to make use of Millbrook’s testing facilities to showcase the latest in low carbon technology.

Millbrook’s tracks, including a constant high speed bowl, city courses and hill routes, are designed to simulate a wide range of driving conditions. Exhibitors will demonstrate their low carbon solutions and product updates. The extensive site allows for significant indoor and outdoor exhibition space and will feature four locations to host the full seminar programme.

To mark the opening of Millbrook’s new crash roll over facility, a live demonstration will take place at lunchtime on the second day of the event. Supplementing the site’s existing capabilities, the corkscrew roll over facility enables customers to test vehicles for roll over protection, detection and occupant ejection. A limited number of delegates will be able to view the test first hand.

Alex Burns, president of Millbrook Group explained, ‘As the leading independent vehicle test, validation and engineering service provider to customers in the automotive, transport, petrochemical, defence and security industries, Millbrook is the ideal location to host the UK’s number one low carbon vehicle event.’
