Mahindra delivers a first
Mahindra International UK has made the first delivery of its e2o – its new all-electric city car.
Having only recently launched its savvy, eco, affordable and commuter-friendly car into the UK market, the company claims a healthy order bank is already building up for the city motor.
Speaking at the company’s London headquarters, new e2o owner Stephanie Whittaker said, ‘I’m delighted to have collected my new e2o this morning and I’m excited to be Mahindra’s first UK customer.’
Businesswoman, Stephanie, who runs a marketing agency in Fulham, said, ‘I purchased the car for the business as we have a number of clients within a 40-mile radius, so it made sense to buy an electric car suited to city driving.’
Handing the keys over was Mahindra International UK chief executive, Steve Parkinson, said, ‘We’ve worked hard to develop our online offering and we’re thrilled to see our hard work paying off and benefitting our customers.
‘We’ve initially launched our online business model in London, Birmingham, Bristol and Milton Keynes but with the increasing number of people committed to improving their living environments we’re sure to see our reach extend to more UK cities soon.’
Indian company Mahindra runs its business exclusively online.
