Industry showcase draws the crowds
The inaugural Industry Showcase Event being held at Rye Street Group, Bishops Stortford, now has nearly 100 pre-registrations with almost all attending with parents.
The event, organised as part of the AutoRaise/REALexperience initiative, will feature over 25 suppliers presenting and demonstrating their products and services with a number of other repairers and industry stakeholders in attendance too.
Event organiser, Bob Linwood said, ‘This event has attracted nearly 100 14 – 17 year olds who are actively interested in coming along to see our industry ‘in action’ and establish if it’s the career destination for them.
‘Whilst I am not suggesting that our event will solve the industry’s skills crisis just yet, I am very proud that between us, AutoRaise and Ethan’s charity have started the process of doing something.’
The event forms part of the AutoRaise/REALexperience initiative aimed at attracting and highlighting the career prospects for young people within the automotive accident repair sector.
