IMI in twitter takeover
The IMI has taken over the Department for Work & Pensions Knowledge Hub twitter account to promote the motor industry as a career opportunity.
Starting on Thursday 11 August, the purpose of the four-day campaign is to promote apprenticeships and to let young people know that the wide variety of exciting opportunities available in the industry are not just for men.
IMI will be posting 15 content rich features each day to inform and entertain young people who are weighing up their career options right now. Young people who get involved in the conversation will be directed to appropriate employers by the professional body’s careers department.
Jo Hollingdale, IMI careers manager said, ‘The DWP twitter account normally features job and career insight from the UK’s biggest employers across every sector, but until Sunday night it is exclusively #MotorCareers.
‘The IMI was selected by the DWP to showcase the fantastic jobs on offer in our sector. We’re delighted to take part and we’re sure it going to have a massive impact on businesses across the industry.’
Motor industry businesses are urged to get involved and show the online audience what opportunities they have available for enthusiastic hard working young people using #MotorCareers.
