IFB strengthens fraud fighting team
The Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB) has appointed Jason Potter as the new head of investigations.
Jason has assumed responsibility for the investigations team which sits at the heart of the IFB. Through developing networks, liaising with law enforcement agencies and managing investigations the team is able to bring insurance fraudsters to justice. The team is currently investigating over 135 operations in the UK, with a value of approximately £105m.
Jason brings experience from managing fraud investigations with insurers, setting up counter strategies within his time at Swinton, before joining NFUM in an application fraud focused role. Jason’s years of knowledge across a broad range of product lines, spanning both policy and claims fraud, will be an asset to the IFB.
Ben Fletcher, IFB director said, ‘I’m delighted to welcome Jason to the IFB team as our new Head of Investigations. I am sure that the wealth of knowledge and experience he is bringing to the IFB will ensure the continued success of the investigations team in tackling insurance fraud and bringing fraudsters to justice.’
