Fix backs Supercup challenge

The Fix Auto network’s presence on the national motor racing scene has moved up a gear – after Fix Auto Loughborough agreed to sponsor a Mazda MX5 in the BRSCC Supercup Series.

Fix Auto Loughborough owner Paul Smith has signed a two-year sponsorship deal with Cambridge-based JZ Racing Developments which will see the newly built car – driven by ex-Caterham and Modified Ford Saloon Champion Andy Coombs – compete on the national stage. The car has been painted bright orange and is emblazoned with Fix Auto graphics.

Paul, said, ‘I’m delighted to be on board. As a former rally driver I know all too well just how difficult it can be to gain financial support, and I also know just how powerful success on the race track can be to a business’ profile.

‘Andy is a terrific guy who has a successful record and I am sure that, through the power of TV and advertising, he will further help to promote the Fix Auto brand on the national stage.’

The race series, which is already underway, is heavily featured on the Motors TV.

The Fix Auto network also sponsors a 1963 Mini driven by Phil Harris, one of the country’s leading chartered accountants and business advisors to the automotive and motorsport sectors. Phil is currently leading two of the three categories in the 2016 Mintex MSA British Historic Rally Championship.
