Double delight for Nationwide Training Centre
Nationwide’s Technical Training Centre has been named Specialist Centre of the Year for the second year running.
It collected the accolade from His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent at the Institute of the Motor Industry’s Outstanding Achievers Awards
Dawn Swales, HR and training manager, said, ‘The Outstanding Achievement Award is in recognition of excellence within the motor industry and to have the Training Centre and the Training Team’s hard work recognised amongst these outstanding companies and professionals for the second year in a row is a fantastic achievement.
‘The Technical Training Centre is going from strength to strength and the team’s passion effort and dedication to what they deliver in the centre is clear for all to see and something I’m extremely proud of. Thank you to the IMI for recognition of this and well done to all the finalists at the awards, it was a showcase of the excellence and talent that we have within the motor industry as a whole.’
Nationwide’s Technical Training Centre is based in Goole, East Yorkshire and has a dedicated team working with the IMI to ensure that everything delivered from the centre is of the very highest quality and up to date with industry standards and technologies.
The centre plays a key part in the learning and development of team members across the group, while future plans are in place to expand the Nationwide Academy to include traineeships, apprenticeships, technical training, IMI accreditations, professional and management development programmes.
