BASF supports ‘same day repair’ concept
BASF’s Coatings division and Danish minor damage repair service provider CARHEAL have signed an agreement and long-term strategic partnership to promote CARHEAL’s new breakthrough concept ‘same day repairs’ on a global basis.
BASF will supply automotive refinish paint to CARHEAL users via its global distribution network and support the roll-out of the new dealer-centric ‘One-hour/same day repair’ concept with technical training.
Aimed at an emerging after-sales market for non-structural damages in the OEM dealer sector, CARHEAL’s innovative workshop programme delivers additional repair volumes. It is supplied with a comprehensive modular equipment range which includes zero emission indoor and outdoor spray cabins, a patented emission detection system, a unique damage discovery App and an IT hub for data capture.
Harald Borgholte, vice president global strategic marketing and product development at BASF’s coatings division, said, ‘We are convinced that CARHEAL’s concept will capture the increasing market demand for fast and cost-effective minor damage repairs. We will support CARHEAL and its customers with our knowledge of the automotive refinish industry and our broad portfolio of products and services.’
Henrik Bro Christensen, president and CEO of CARHEAL, added, ‘Having BASF as a global partner with a strong distribution network enhances our ability to provide fast, efficient, high quality ‘same day repairs’ to clients all around the world.’
