Motofix enters Exeter

Motofix Group, an independent regional vehicle accident repair and bodyshop group, has announced yet another addition to the Group’s growing accident repair network – Exeter’s vehicle accident repairer Fairweather Autoshine.

Motofix Group chief executive Richard Tutt, said, ‘This latest acquisition follows that of Yeovil’s Andrew Symms Car Body Repairs and shows how serious we are about building our presence in the South West Region. This new site will complement our existing prestige sites and further extend our prestige manufacturer approvals. And, due to the excellent reputation the business has built up in the local area, we will be retaining the Fairweather brand.’

Founded in 1984 by Mr Dennis Fairweather, Fairweather Autoshine has become one of Devon’s premier Aluminum Structural repair facilities. The company has approvals from some of the World’s leading prestige vehicle manufacturers.

Dennis Fairweather said, ‘Motofix were our preferred buyer because they share common values and have demonstrated an excellent track record for acquiring and developing similar businesses to ours. They will be able to take the company to another level whilst retaining employees and offering them a secure future.’

The Motofix Group is one of the UK’s leading independent regional vehicle accident repair and bodyshop groups. With repair centres in nine counties; Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Devon, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire and Somerset, the Group has the capacity to repair over 16,000 vehicles per annum.

Motofix Accident Repair Centres fully support the PAS 125 standard with all sites holding BSI PAS 125-2011 Structural Steel accreditation, and are now able to offer aluminum (Cat A) repair facilities. The group also holds a growing number of prestige manufacturer approvals.
