Gallagher Basset buys Countrywide Accident Assistance
Gallagher Bassett International (GBI) has acquired CAA (Countrywide Accident Assistance Ltd).
CAA provides motor first notification of loss (FNOL) and third party administration (TPA) services to insurers, brokers and commercial clients across the UK and is renowned for the market‐leading functionality and service it provides.
GBI is a global third party claims administrator, with decades of experience in proactively managing claims, particularly personal injury claims, and more than 25 years’ experience operating in the United Kingdom.
GBI’s managing director, Nick Bonser said, ‘We are delighted to welcome CAA to the Gallagher Bassett family. This acquisition will combine GBI’s global claims management expertise with CAA’s market leadership in the motor insurance sector to provide an enhanced service offering to existing and new clients.’
