ECP opens new hub in Saltash
A new generation automotive hub is being opened by Euro Car Parts (ECP) in Saltash creating around 50 new jobs and improving product availability and speed of deliveries to local service, repair & MOT workshops in the South West.
This major investment in the modern 33,000sqft site, built across two floors, will increase the number of product stock items to 47,000 lines of all the major OEM and high quality OE equivalent aftermarket brands. In addition, the hub is introducing paints, coatings, solvents and ancillary products aimed at car body repairers.
The commitment to six new vans covering local deliveries and 14 vehicle off-road vans will also help to improve service levels provided by seven local ECP branches in Devon and Cornwall by increasing the delivery frequency of replenishment and special order stocks, significantly reducing garages’ downtime.
An over-the-counter service and ECP’s online Click and Collect facility enables customers who wish to order online to collect the products directly from the centre.
Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia, chairman of Euro Car Parts said, ‘The investment in our latest new generation hub continues to reinforce our commitment to improving service levels significantly to local service, repair & MOT workshops as well as bodyshops by offering better availability of a more extensive range of automotive parts, paints and coatings supported by rapid delivery schedules. We’re confident customers will benefit by increasing their throughput and raising their profitability.’
