Cars in the Claydons launched
A Ferrari 456GT owned by bodyshop magazine chairman Chris Mann has been included in the latest vintage and classic cars calendar, Cars in the Claydons.
The calendar was launched at a classic car display held in the courtyard and stables of Claydon House, Buckinghamshire, and also includes a beautiful mid-thirties Aston Martin Le Mans, a D Type Jaguar, a Subaru Impreza rally car, an early MGB and even a Bond Bug.
Claydon House has been the home of the Verney family for more than 400 years and Sir Ralph Verney, his son Sir Edmund Verney and his wife still occupy an apartment there.
MGB owner Nicholas Verney said, ‘We want to raise the profile of Claydon as an event venue. The grounds have the potential for a wide range of events. I love cars and I love the estate so it seemed natural to set up something that combined the two’
Expanding on their plans, organiser James Bennett continued, ‘Cars in the Claydons will take place on 3 September 2016 and be centred in the gardens and courtyard of Claydon House.
‘It will be a celebration of motor sport and all things motoring, including motorbikes, an event for all the family. Visitors can come in their own cars and be part of an ‘arrivals motor show’. We want to attract the right audience and allow visitors to come and enjoy the event with their families.
‘There will be owners’ club and trade stands, and displays including the latest supercars, historic and vintage vehicles as well as classic cars and motorbikes.
‘Our long-term plan is to develop Cars in the Claydons into a major event. As our plans develop we will keep you updated, and we’d welcome any input you may have.’
