AW kids enjoy training day
With the long summer holidays in full swing AW Repair Group arranged a ‘grown up’ training day for youngsters.
Children of staff throughout the group were invited to the HQ’s training room to learn the skills to put together a PowerPoint presentation.
Insight IT Training Ltd delivered the five hour session for youngsters who each received certificates of competence after mastering Powerpoint basics, animation, hyperlinks to YouTube, inserting self-recording video clips and giving a full presentation on their chosen subject to envied adults.
Some of the topics included My Favourite Aeroplanes; Manchester United and Ballet.
One youngster commented, ‘It’s been epic today! I loved being at my mum’s work because I got to see where she sits and what she does and impress her with my presentation too!’
Central customer service receptionist Joanna Shakespeare added, ‘It was a great idea and lovely for AW to do this for the staff’s children. It’s hard to find different things to do in the holidays to keep the children entertained and this hit the spot on so many levels.’
Some of the youngsters who took part are pictured with their certificates and Insight’s training co-ordinator Clare Blake.
