ACIS launches ASCRIBE 1.2

ACIS, the UK’s leading distributor to the bodyshop sector, has launched the latest version of ASCRIBE, its unique and innovative web-based stock management and ordering solution.

The new version, which will be a free upgrade for existing customers, provides bodyshop managers with the ability to measure the true efficiency of their operatives, as well as their use of paints and consumables, and has been developed following feedback from accident repair centres using the technology.

The feedback suggested that users wanted even more management data and so ASCRIBE version 1.2 automatically offers bodyshop managers real time figures on staff performance, based on their hours worked and their use of materials, which provides the ability to set realistic performance targets.

‘Successful companies such as Apple have shown the world that technology needs to evolve in line with customer needs and expectations,’ said ACIS national account director Ian Dalgarno.

‘We make a point of listening to our bodyshop customers about what they want and need from the technology in order to keep it relevant to the sector. Consequently, we will continue to make the kind of adjustments that respond to that demand and will add further value.’

Earlier this year the technology broke through a major sales milestone of more than £1 million worth of paints and dry goods being ordered through ASCRIBE.

Ian Dalgarno added, ‘The future is looking very positive as we are in discussions with a number of larger bodyshops to take ASCRIBE, some of which have had the technology on trial to explore its broader contribution to the efficiency of their business.’
