Ezi-Methods celebrates Bob Linwood at golf day

Ezi-Methods celebrated industry stalwart Bob Linwood at its annual golf day.

Linwood, who passed away at the start of the year, championed apprentices and skills during a long and prestigious career in the sector.

The Ezi-Methods golf day was held at the prestigious Old Thorns Golf Club in Hampshire, when the 32 golfers representing all areas of the vehicle repair sector competed for the Bob Linwood Memorial trophy wearing the bright and colourful shirts that Linwood was renowned for.

It was won by accountant Ben Maxwell, welding training consultant Andrew Morris, Scott Dunnell, of Fix Auto Dagenham, and rookie golfer Neil Reader representing Fix Auto UK Owned Sites.

Wesley Young, of AGM Services, Entegral’s Chris Mortimer, Mark Andrews and Earle Avann, of Fix Auto UK’s owned sites, finished second while Body Shop Compliance Services’ Phil Travis, Vince Scudder, formerly of MG Cannon, and Chris Dore, of Steer Group, who was accompanied by his father, Peter, were third.

Ezi Methods Founder Ben Cardy, said: “Once again we were blessed by a magnificent field of golfers who agreed to participate in our event. Old Thorns is an outstanding, but challenging, course which tested everyone. It really could not have gone any better with the tightest of finishes and my congratulations goes out to those trophy winners.”

He added:

“Bob was instrumental in making our first event happen last year and would have been first on the tee had he sadly not been taken so suddenly. It was only fitting to remember him and thankfully, everyone responded to the memo to wear something colourful, it really was a touching tribute.”
