Copart hosts first auctions at St Helens Operation Centre
Copart UK has held its first auctions at its new Operation Centre in St Helens, Merseyside.
St Helens is the second new Copart Operation Centre to open its doors this year, following Gloucester, and the fourth in the last 18 months.
It boosts vehicle storage capacity by 50% in the northwest.
The 16-acre site, formerly leased by Cazoo, is the latest strand of Copart’s ongoing ‘Land and Expand’ strategy which has seen it invest heavily into acquiring land and expand existing sites to drive growth, handle increasing EV volumes, and expand the reach of its emergency response services.
Jane Pocock, CEO of Copart UK and Ireland, said: “It’s been a very exciting week with the first auctions taking place at our St Helens site, which is strategically placed between Manchester and Liverpool and provides further storage capacity for up to 24,000 vehicles in the Northwest.
“Copart’s growth strategy continues to gather pace, as we futureproof our business to support the needs of our customers, get even closer to our communities, and reduce road miles for our customers, buyers, and transport fleet.”
Auctions will be held every Monday and Wednesday at this location, providing a huge range of vehicles for their customers to bid on and buy every week.
